Mission Statement
The mission of the Council for Tribal Employment Rights is to assist Tribes to develop effective Indian Preference laws and TERO programs to ensure that Indian and Native people receive their basic entitlement to employment, business and entrepreneurial opportunities on and near reservations and Alaska native villages.

Vision Statement
The vision of the Council for Tribal Employment Rights is to advance the economic and social well-being of Indian and Native people and to promote positive change and self sufficiency in tribal communities.
